Our Mission:

 Dismas House provides practical support for carefully screened, motivated former offenders paroled from Tennessee prisons and/or jails. By helping to build the re-entry and re-socialization skills necessary, residents of Dismas House have a better opportunity of becoming independant, productive members of the community.

There are many challenges that result from incarceration (censured by society, unemployment, estranged from or absence of suppotive family systems, etc.). Dismas House was founded to encourage a safe and wholesome life for former offenders as they re-enter into the community.  Dismas values the dignity of individuals and believes that they ought to be treated with respect and compassion.
